***power difference with compression help ASAP***
ok what kind of power difference is there between having 9.75:1cr with 18psi compared to 9.95:1cr with 18psi? is there any real difference?
and yes a few of you will say just increase your psi to make up the difference. i dont want to run more then 18psi. so that is not a option. thanks thought
thanks in advanced

you will have a 2.9203858974368947130984^E2.xxxxo12 hp drop due to the lower compression. Oh yea, and don't forget to carry over the banana in the equation.
Really though, that's minimal and you won't notice a difference besides a couple digits on the dyno.

More compression equals more power and less boost required to max out the turbos.
If you were running e85 you could really go up there or race fuel. My builder with tons of experience said to run 9.5 static if was running alc/meth injection. 9.0 if wasn't going to . I told him my car was street car and didnt' want a dog off boost. I am very happy with my compression choice. Now you can play with cams to lower dynamic compression but really you don't have to make this too complicated. Just pick a decent cam like epp cam or even one similar to mine and you should be happy camper. I figure won't need to go past 15psi on upgraded 70 lb turbos from LG that plan to get. With small shot of spray should be all I ever need. But some guys are greedy! LOL
