Boost level, air filter vs no air filter
I'm making a little more boost than I would like to with my F2 at 26psi. Right now the inlet is wide open. How much do you think adding a 4" 90 with a big air filter will lower the boost? I know some people have used a retrictor plate on the blower inlet to limit boost so I figure adding a filter should restrict it some in the same way, I just have no idea how much. I'd like to get it down to around 20psi. I know I can swap pulleys but I'm planning to add the filter anyway so I don't want to start messing with pulleys unless I have to. Any ideas on how much boost might be lost with the air filter?

I don't have an F2 so I have no idea how much it will limit your boost, but it you are going to run it on the street a lot you might as well throw a filter on it and see what happens. Then you can re-pulley it if necessary.
But a 4" 90 with a large filter probably won't limit it much

Thanks for the responces guys. I thought maybe someone would have a back to back with and without the filter to give me an idea on how many psi I might lose. I'm guessing only about 2psi but I guess I'll just try and fit one on and see what it does.

How many miles did you run it without the filter to cause that? I didn't think it would be that big of a deal since I only put about 500-1000 miles on the car a year. Now I'm going to put the filter on for sure just for that alone.
