wastegate spring??
wastegate spring?? does someone have a site or chart, are the wastegate springs color coded by their allowded boost? I have a few of them with my turbo kit and I was just wondering which one was which.
also how do you install it?/

Don`t quote me on this but i just bought an assortment and they told me what colors are what my memory sucks but i`ll give it a try.
Green stripe:3-5psi
LT Blue stripe:5-7psi
plain no stripe:7-9psi
These were the three that came in the assortment.
I`m pretty sure these figures are correct.
What kind of wastgate do you have? When your looking at the gate you should see a distinct cover the top vacume line is attached to with a bunch of screws holding it on. Thats the way it is with my race gate. When you remove the cover be carfull because the spring is compressed by the cover. Don`t want it to fly out and smack you in the face or lose pieces. Also when removing the cover be very carefull not to tear the rubber diaphram, sometimes it will stick to the housing.Hope this helps.

Also after installing the new spring you need to set the pre load using the screw on the end of the gate.
Turn the screw all the way out ontill it`s not making contact with the spring you can tell when it`s out it will get real easy to turn. Then turn the screw back in untill it just makes contact with the spring again, then give it one full turn tighten the lock nut and your done.
