you might want to double clamp the hose, just to make sure it doesn't come off.
i'm not sure about the little hole but on the stock one ( in a 99) it is connected to a little hose that dumps back into the fule module ( kind of a bucket the pump sits in.) so you always have the pump submereged.
i don't think you should worry about it since no one here has had any problems with that hole.

Is that standard heat Shrink on the wires? If so.. Just to let you know.. I had some on mine and it turned to jelly in no time. I'd just make sure that you secure the wires where in the case the heatshrink does melt away that the 2 wires don't come into contact with each other.
