Default Electric Fans a Must?

I am pulling parts together for a custom made front mount turbo setup, and would it be a good enough investment to buy new electric fans for engine bay room?

Stock ones work good, probably hard to find an aftermarket one to beat it.

If you can keep the stock fans, I wouldn't change them.

Don't know what kind of turbo setup you are doing or your plans for your radiator but if you have the room use the factory fans, they are hard to beat. Most likley though you will have to go to aftermarket fans to get the room you need.Keep it a puller setup if at all possible, they are much more efficiant than pushers. There is lots of good info on here about radiator and fan setups.Someone can probably hook you up with a link but one good thread is"those that stood the radiator up and vertical" or somthing close to that.

Just mount the turbo up higher, then you can use stock fans (depending on how big the turbo is).

A different radiator was used set up straight and underneath the radiator support. You could use the stock radiator if you cut it out. But my setup has the stock fans.

I'm using a TC72, so not too big or small. I like the idea of moving my radiator if I can. Any suggestions on how I could pull that off?

consider replacing your LS1 radiator with a LT1 unit. They are a direct fit in F-bodies and have about 30% more coolant capacity.

Are they any smaller? Would replacing it give me more engine bay room for my setup?

Nope. Same overall size and one row thicker core.

We have the OEM GM radiator 52466004 in stock for $254.74
and also an aftermarket unit Spectra Premium in stock CU1486 for $142.29.
Sprectra is a great product so I would not hesitate to go with that unit if price is an issue.

these are both Z28 with LT1 engine for 1995 Z28

Hope this helps
