What size charge piping?

What size charge piping? Some guy local has charge piping that is 3", my intercooler is also 3" in/out. But my turbo has a 2.5" out, will it hurt anything to run 3" charge piping?

I didnt know if it would create excess turbo lag or not. I was going to run 2.5" to the intercooler and 2.5" after also. Looks like ill pick up this 3" piping then. Thanks
