Looking at a 99 LQ4. What issues with a TH350?
I have done some searches regarding the older LQ4 iron blocks and have found some discussion regarding the crank flange being thicker in order to reach a 4L80. This has me a bit confused. What issues if any will I have if I am using a TCI Flexplate and a TH350 behind it? Will I need anything special? IS it really a transmission issue or a torque converter issue? Does this just require that you run an SBC converter instead of an LS1?

I think it was only 99-2000 engines that were 4.8 and 6.0 had what is now the spacer built into the crankshaft itself. So all you would need to run the 350 behind it would be an old school converter with the tranny.
