I WANT ONE! I called you this past winter and you said to look for a used one but I never found one. So please dont submit an order without me on the list. I pick up 2# of boost when I pull the lid and tube off my car but dont want to drive it on the highway like that. Hoping for something better than the stock lid. I can wait a few weeks so the price comes down too 4 benjamins is pretty steep.

Can you get these babies made in clear like the MTI lid that would be even better?.

If you Vortech guys go with a SD tune and get that choking MAF off the intake tube you'll see another nice gain.

Funny. Inspector12 sent me his lid for testing and all I gained was 5 rwhp. Still in my garage. Need to send it back to Jeff.

When ever you get a chance Bro. I could probably sell it to a friend.

I can check on the "clear" version for you, but cant make any promises.

JMBLOWN, sorry to hear about the minimal gains. The testing that was done here on a different dyno (the last batch was made before Spectacle Solutions was an actual shop with an actual dyno) showed much better gains, as well as a few other customers we have talked to over the years.

Glad to see there is still some intrest in these. When a group is ready to order, just post it here or give us a call.

I cant take a chance on having these actually produced before we have some deposits.

Once we get the deposits, I will place the order, and they should ship out within a week after that.

Thanks again.

Thats a good point which is what I did with an open bypass. I am hoping to gain that 20rwhp and have RMCR do the aftercooler inlet mod and it should gain 3-4#'s of boost hopefully with the combination.

Jeff I will give you a call next week, and thanks for checking on a clear one that would be great if they will make one.

I bought one of the original lids. Got 20hp at the wheels. My only complaint now is two stress cracks where the inlet tube meets the lid body.

What is the final price now on one of these? I was waiting until more people jumped on. Does not appear like it though.

What kind of tubing are you using as a connection between the lid and vortech intake tube? Do you think it is too rigid and didnt flex enough to keep from putting torque on the lid?

When I originally installed mine I purchased a foot (required minimum) of 3.5" Gates hose from O'Reilly's and cut a coupler from that. Recently I upgraded to a Z06 MAF and I had to purchase 3.75" Gates hose and reluctantly cut a piece out of my radiator cowl for clearance purposes.

Here, found a pic that a friend took at the local car meet:

I used the stock hose from my factory lid. Do you have a link to the gate house you picked up? Also what gains did you see from your zo6 MAF?

nothing has changed from my first post. I havent had one single person contact me about putting down a deposit.

get 5 people together, call me with a 250.00 non refundable deposit for each order, and I will sell those 5 for 389.00 shipped.

If its one person, the price is still the 449.00 I mentioned before.

The price will not go lower than 389.00 unless I get 10 or more people to order one and I would say that is probably not likely at this point.

So come on all you guys saying you want one.....lets get this done. 389.00 shipped if I get 5 deposits of 150.00

Thanks.

No. I walked into O'Reilly's and bought it. It's Gates Vulco hose.

With the ZO6 MAF, that's a good question. Long story, but I really didn't gain. It allowed me to go back to my previous best as I had pegged out the 75mm MAF that was on the car. I was hoping/expecting to beat my previous best dyno results because I had a very capable friend helping my tune the PCM with the new MAF, but instead I only got back up the car's previous best.

I already have one of these also, but mine isn't on my car and never was on my car it came with my used kit I got and I never new it was suppose to be good for 20rwhp and 20rwtq guess I will have to swap over to that and give it a try. I wonder why it is supposedly picking up that much hp and tq, straighter flow or not having the normal metal piece before the original lid.

I have had one phone call.

Transammatt appears to be a serious buyer for one of these. We have decided to sell these at 389.00 whether we sell one, or five.

So thats the rock bottom price. It wont go lower unless theres 10 or more orders.

thanks.
