From my limited experience with my Procharger, I noticed that the stock Procharger bypass valve works differently than bov's. The Procharger BPV, remains open under vacuum like when the engine is idleing. It takes very little vacuum to keep it open. Most BOV's that I have seen remain closed at vacuum and only open during vacuum spikes, like when the throttle closes abruptly. How would this affect performance if you switched... I have no idea. Maybe someone who has tried this will chime in.

If your vortech came with the stock valve, the little black plastic one, then I believe it is a BOV that is re-routed to the intake. That is the same Bosch unit that comes stock on turbo'd VW's, Audi's and Porsches. From what I've read on those sights, a lot of those guys are upgrading to bigger or more efficient BOV's to vent the air better.
As far as venting the air, it depends on your setup. If you BOV is before the MAF, then it should be okay. If it is after, then it should be vented back.
