Default a little more boost on my ofi kit

I ran 7 passes this weekend and the car got better every pass until I got some new bests
9.86
9.83
9.66
9.64
9.50
9.44
9.39

my last pass was:
1.43 60'
6.02 @ 117.44
9.39 @ 145.34

4psi launch
14.5 psi boost
3960# raceweight
275/60/15 Hoosier DOT drag radials

The car never missed a beat. I may put my 1.32 a/r turbine housing on my s488 turbo soon. After 12psi the 1.10 housing is starting to choke a little i believe.

See, when you bring a trailer the car never breaks lol.

Thats some nice times at that raceweight.

I was going to go to Steele yesterday but the 40% chance of rain kept me at home, glad it didnt rain for you guys.

KP u r right,,,a trailer and nothing breaks.
Be glad you didnt come out...I got 2 passes but could only have gotten 1 more (the other 5 were at sdr friday night) ....it was FULL of mustangs. Lynch and a bunch of proline cars had the track rented for last night so it was full of ford guys waiting to see them.

I seen everyone was going, I didnt want to say I was going and then not show up, if its 20% or higher chance of rain I stay home these days.

The pits at SDR are rough but the track itself is nice, longest shutdown around I think..

The starter at steele gave me his cell. He said he always gets there first and i could always call and find out the status of the track. Maybe we can plan to go on the same weekend and hurt some ford feelings

Happens a lot at Steele lol, last time I was there there was a guy with a black SN95 and a YSi vortech with some huge cam, gutted, open headers, 10.5x29Ws on it etc running 10.0s pitted next to me and was desperately trying to get it in the 9s. He asked me what mine ran and I said low 9s, he said 'thats got to be in the 1/8 right, if not I'm junking my **** and buying a GM.'

I didnt say anything but after he seen mine run he would just look under my hood once in a while and shake his head lol.

I'm looking forward to a nice 65-70 degree sunny day at Steele..

Great runs. Are you running a boost controller or just off the spring? Car looked like it ran pretty straight.

1.43 sixty on a 4psi launch at your weight is pretty impressive. That car will run 8's if you crank the boost.

right now im trying to figure out what is causing my car to lose about 75hp from the 1/8 to 1/4. It is either the 1.10 turbine housing and/or my exhaust setup. neither is easy to change but I may just drop the exhaust off the car and see what it does next time out. my mph is good to the 1/8 but it should be 3mph out back. i go from a 3.5" dp to a 3" magnaflow catback. in the 3.5" dp i do have a 3" cutout....so who knows at this point. It quit gaining 30mph out back once i got over 12 psi

Nice times for that weight!!!
The best part (for me anyway) is when you can run a new best and the car acts like it's nothing special and is ready to go for more.

Interesting as I feel that maybe my DP might be two small for the turbo. I also have a dump at the end of the DP.

Good luck on your next expedition... awaiting your results buddy!

Way to make it look easy!
