well with graduation coming around within the next 6 months or so( and my birthday and Christmas before it) i was wondering what i should do with my money my thoughts were either spend the money to do forged rods/pistons in my 5.3 and a single plane setup with a sheetmetal elbow or do a 75mm s400 turbo kit and keep my stock bottom end for now i figure either way im doing the installing/building (my dads been a welder/metal fabricator/avid drag racer for 22+ years) so i can keep some of the cost down on the turbo kit


option1 would come down costing around 2100ish

Wiseco -2.2cc 3.80 bore pistons

or option 2 would be a little more expensive (around 2500ish) but funner and faster...

another option is same as the first one but instead of the single plane i'd do some 243's and a ls6 intake with a ported TB

id do the turbo setup. there are ALOT of 5.3's making insane numbers on the stock bottom.

i know this but what im thinking is if i forge it then when i do put the turbo on it i can make even more insane power.... and maybe keep my 10bolt alive for a bit
