I ran the 750 with full weight, nothing removed. Now that the camaro isn't my DD, I decided to gut it and put it to work on some serious bikes, or cars

Very sick. Both cars are awesome just need to save up. Sounds like you guys are going on theories on STS. Have you actually tried them? There is very little lag. Comparing set ups the STS seem to most of the time seem to turn out higher #'s. (Given mods are equal)

I had an STS system (off the car and in the garage) with the GT67 and it made good power for almost 3 years. The only real deficiencies I saw were:
-Oil lines all under the car
-lengthy charge pipe
-turbo not close to heat source

lag could be viewed in many ways... With a GT67 and a .96 exhaust and a stick, it was a little "laggy" below 3200RPM, but after that, it was like a rocket ship for what the car had done to it.

On my new set up, I should be bouncing off the gate at 3600 with 15psi on a th400 though

Buy the Camaro and turbo it. Do your reasearch first, there has been alot of complaints about the STS, i would suggest a Front Mount Set-up, scroll through the FI section and you will find plenty of your answers to the questions you have.

Sounds good. Just saw a 2010 Camaro, bright yellow. I'd rather have a nice low miles SS 4th gen turboed and blow their doors off meanwhile saving $30k.

There seems to be a lot of haters on STS, I wonder why that is. Any other STS customers out there?

I am in the same boat you are. Finally got my career going and now I am car shopping. I was set on a C5 ZO6 and then eventually building it up (forged 4xx twin turbo) but I think I am about to buy a local friends SS camaro. It has a fully forged 402 built for boost, stage 4 T56, 9" rear, full suspension, fuel, iforged rims etc etc etc all for about 12k. I will be saving a lot of money, it won't be a vette, but I can stare at most of them in my rear view once the turbo (possibly F1) goes on. The car still put down 470rwhp even with 9.2:1 CR setup for boost. All it needs is bigger injectors, lines, turbo kit and tune. That will still be a lot of money and work, but everything else is bulletproof! I am saving thousands by going this route. But to each their own.

I have the STS system in my car.. the only issue i ran into was a faulty oil pump, but that was an easy thing to fix and its hard to miss (huge smoke ploom behind ur car). it makes good power and is a big time head turner when they hear that turbo whistling.
