tuning for boost
does anybody have any tips for me on my first time tuning for turbo, or any steps i should follow? Evan better if someone has a base HPtuner setup for turbo would be great!! i dont know much about 2.5 bar and 3 bar so enlighten me on any turbo tuning information please!
There are a few turbo tunes in the hptuners repository. Be prepared if you are a noob for a pretty long learning curve . You will find hptuners forum pretty much filled with pro tuners who like to keep things secret at thats their bread and butter.
I can tune my eagle talon turbo in minutes and run 160 pound injectors.I can dial in the injectors in seconds with two numerical values global fuel and deadtime. Our f bodies have whole bunch of places to enter data to correct properly for even 60 pound injectos and past 80 or so its pretty much hit and miss and tweak and tweak.
Tuning a big power FI car can drive you nuts. If you have pro tuners near you mgiht be best to use one. I have really no experienced FI tuners near me so pretty much had to teach myself. My car is running pretty good now but its had its moments.
Hptuners is not really very user friendly. Its more as said geared to pro tuners.Dyno is handy handy for tuning as well .You can tune on the street or track but its not as easy as dyno tuning.I will be using some dyno tuning next season when car is finished up .No dyno in my city is pain as well ,few hundred miles away to nearest one.
So if you have hptuners go on site and look at repositories and some of the how tos. There are how toos including video of how to convert to 2bar.3 is pretty much same.
