What oil pan you using??? This is the same thing that happened to my old motor. Stock pan starved it for oil and it ate the front rod bearings and BOOM, broke it all to hell just like your did! Hate to see it happen. Are you going to make the shootout still?
There was no detonation. The plugs are like brand new. When the piston got busted it opened that chamber and pushed a **** ton of aluminum into the intake. It then went through all the other chambers. There were pieces of ring and piston in some of the chambers. There was oil all the way up to the intercooler and chunks of aluminum laying against the throttle body. I had made about 15 passes with the same boost and tune and checked the plugs 3 times, the engine never pushed any water at all. It was a very soft tuneup.
Good thing you found the plugs after this
