carb hat vs box.
carb hat vs box. My brother has a procharger on his sbc and he's giving me the carb and carb hat for my ls1 impala profect. And he also has a vortech boost carb box. Its just basically a box where the carb sits inside with one port for the air to come in from the tubing. My question which is better?
The carb "enclosure" is a PITA to deal with. The hat is much easier to work around and FWIW, the "cool looking" factor. Also, the taller, the better flow direction into the carb.

i prefer the hat, the box has got to be a pita to work on the carb-the only advantage is the carb doesnt need all the mods that a hat/carb needs, and may be a lower profile
