Is it safe to use stock IAT sensor? Can it react fast enough?
Main question is, can it react fast enough for turbo... Because I doubt they were designed to be able to change readings over 50F in a second, which could happen in a turbo car
It depends on where you place it. As long as you can get it away from a heat source and put it well in the air stream, should work fine. For instance, the factory location for a stock fbody car is a horrible place for an IAT.
I'm going to put it into charge pipe before TB. I didn't do it earlier because I thought that stock sensor can't be used with turbo because of slow response
