i havent tried the proper stiff sidewall and tube for my car but i am sure that would help.

the DRs have MADE me try to learn what my car likes suspension wise so they are worth it if for no other reason than that.

I only put slicks on my car once and after feeling the swaying on the long end, that was enough for me. I'd say that the worst part of the DR's is the price vs how long they last.

Best to use what you feel comfortable with, I hold no allegiance to any brand/style of tire, all I worry about is what works

thanks TravASS. I had a good time at MCE day at SDR...car was a lot of fun but track was terrible
I stayed at 3.5-4psi launches and 14 psi boost and went:

1.53
6.30 @ 118
9.61 @ 148

1.49
6.08 @ 118
9.39 @ 149

1.48
6.15 @ 118
9.48 @ 148

1.49
6.05 @ 120
9.31 @ 150

Track said I need a chute (aint happenin) so now I will work on the 60' and run the 1/8 at SDR and see how fast I can go on my street tires.

he was running in excess of 126mph in the 1/8 and in excess of 161mph in the 1/4 on Saturday, whether his ET's were matching it or not...that mph was faster than his old car's 9.0x passes...chute was used to help with the comfort level of being able to stop safely...

actually he said on his 161mph pass he made the turnoff still going 20 mph. He did need it then but didnt have it so put it on after that. He's one of our friends and wanted to see how it looked with the chute as well on video. Stopping 4000 pounds aint easy....

NO Sir, I don't like to SHOW OFF!!!!! The previous pass I went 161mph without my chute on and Like Jerry and AL said, I made the last turnoff going 20+mph with my foot planted thru the brake pedal! SO to be safe, I thru the chute on and wanted to feel the chute for the first time! So, no I didn't need to pull it, but I wasn't taking another chance like the pass before!, Beside's, you need a chute for anything over 150mph! There is a difference in wanting to be safe and showing off!

Wow... Can't wait to see you run at Steele again. I've got the timeslip of the first 9.9x pass you made because I was beside you (a looong way back). Jerry are you using a boost controller?
