Default This video never gets old.............

It has been a few years now, and Wheel to Wheel is no more, but many of the ground breakers in this effort are still out there to include Kurt Urban, Denny Dera, Billy Briggs, and of course Mike Moran doing the driving......we can't forget about these types of historical events!

WOW! When the day comes that a 6 second 1/4 mile is routine, this video may become old then... Don't see that happening any time soon! LOL

Keep in mind, it was done 3-4 years ago. What kind of times were folks running then? Middle 8s?

The in car ride is almost too quick to enjoy watching! That is still amazing.

Nice find Todd, had not seen that vid in awhile. I love the sound of that engine at 9000rpm, wish the camera mic could have caught it better. No doubt this will be surpassed by somebody soon as that was a 4 bolt head/LQ4 block and 352ci LS, so much better available now.

you guys must have been the best at doing it right back then, because some LS guys can't get out of low 7's in 2009 and you did this 3-4 years ago... how bad ***

I didn't mean to put anyone on this board down... lord knows i'll never ever own a 7 second ride

I actually had to look around a bit to find the video. Last time I found it on Youtube, but could not find it there this time.

I "think" casper was on a much bigger slick than most of the "new" guys run.

For sure, also a tube chassis car, and not sure about the weight. No doubt, Casper is a race car.

Did anyone else even have a tube chassis car with LS engine back then?
Does anyone now? It seems like everyone is running stock style suspension
or backhalf cars.

AFAIK, it is the only tube chassis car to run an LS engine combo.

Actually was three of them back then, CV performance 404ci turbo, Ronnie Duke 427ci SC and my 352ci turbo in Casper. CV has been 212mph back in 05, but trans trouble kept the launch boost low enough that 7.1X I think was best et. Duke eventually went 6's also after Casper, I think it was a 6.96 with the GTO.
Casper was always between 2900-3000 pounds, but that engine would only produce 18-1900hp because of it's small ci and 4 bolt head. It did have a large by huge rear tire that allowed us to leave on 25psi and stick it well.
