How are you guys running your IAT sensor?

Default How are you guys running your IAT sensor?

Since were all turboed and very little is stock in terms of the piping, how are yall running these sensors? Ive heard some people use the syclone screw in type but ive also seen people reuse the stock ones.

I was going to drill the pipe and stick a grommet in there and let it ride.

But i sold my stock gasket by accident.

iat sensor from a 91 syclone or 92-93 Typhoon. uses a 3/8" npt bung.

Does that sensor utilize the stock connector? I prefer not to cut the harness.

threaded sensor and a 3/8" bung, no risk of it blowing out

works with the stock wiring no problem

got it at advanced auto parts for like 15 bucks or something

part number WT382P or GM# 25036751

Im thinking ill reuse the stocker, and if it blows out ill get the syclone iat.

i use the stock one. i made a hole as tight as i could fit the sensor in. i have no issues with leaking or blowing out. ive seen 20psi using a 88mm without any hassle

thx man! im still in the progress of building my car and that is one of the things on my list of things to do. no i can get it done.

i see a lot of guys that place it very close to the throttle body. is closer to the tb the better?

Got the sensor for less than 15 bux at autozone and a 3/8npt fitting at home depot for like 2 bux. Can't beat that.
