So I picked up a 5.3! It is out of a 04 Envoy. It is aluminum block. Problem is it was in a flood vehicle, the number 2 piston is all pitted and needs to be replaced. other than that the motor is in surprisingly good shape. I will replace bearings and other typical things. I just need to know if the aluminum motors can be bored to a 3.898 bore?
