It's a turbo requirement to keep an engine together. The back pressure from the turbo and it's setup will effectively reduce exhaust spring seat pressure. The engines will float the valves very early. With a loss of valve control you always have the good ole possibility of a piston kissing a valve that is open when it should not be.

Everybody knows that you can build a Fox and be faster because of the weight... I THINK the point of this is to get a Full interior car, without ANY modifications to weight savings and see how far you can push the mighty LS1 down the 1320 the fastest
lol, no biggie. I'm not in a fox body anyway.

Thanks Frost, if I would learn to read, that question was already answered.

Good luck guys.

allow any car, but make a weight requirement. just say the car can weigh no less than 3250 with driver. Different optioned f-bods are gonna weigh differently

> 3200 raceweight would be fair. It's hard to get < 3000 raceweight with a 4th gen without major weight reduction and expensive lightweight components.

This is going to be real informal. I am gonna ge my junk as light as Possible. I am going for a the LS1 F-body record as I have said before. Feel free to do it with a Fox Mustang and chase that record. This is more of a personal challenge to my self. I dont really have any goals for the car as of yet. Still waiting on some Local 275 Radial rules to come out so I can call Chuck Burkhart and order my suspension.

I can always add weight to my datsun to bring it up to the required 3200 lbs. Lets see.... 1200lbs should do it! BTW, is that 3200 with or without driver? I am running a stock 2000 LS1 in the 610 so that qualifies

I told someone else who is in the middle of a build who I thought might go for this, let's see if he bites.

Nope. Stock. Then again who is checking?
well have been street racing for years you can bs a long way with internals...look at rich on pinks the honor system of the original show got us the great pinks all out bracket show, lol.. i ran a episode on there and just like your wanting it honor system came up several times.... well u say ur not going to spray but u will... u say ur motor is this big is it really? i think the goal for you will be good to try, but trying to get a class together and someone not bs there way to the top will be hard and almost imposable to police... i do like the idea, but feel your going to get ur best results on your build not anyone else..
