Hell my Street car has a Cage, No PS, No Heat, No A/C, and a full rod end Molly suspension. Some Street cars are serious. Some are not.

The homies around here wont bite for a money race if you got an 8 sec legal cage in the car. It doesn't matter if it only runs 10's in real life. If you can get a race, you gotta give them a bunch.

They come looking for a race from me and they get the ole "Come on man! Why you wanna pick on a street car? You gotta give me somthin'!". With the final objective being a heads up race. If you start the other way, you can never get them to lock in. It's a fun little dance. LOL

Yeah I know how that goes. Around here you better bring a low 9 second car to even think about getting in the $$$. Hell most of the cars worth racing are already equiped with the cages and such already.

I figure if I am gonna run then I am gonna do so as safely as I can. Its gonna have a 10pt cage. If that kills a race then so be it.

My WS.6 isn't nearly as badass as the other two in this thread but I did have some funny cargo one day. My grandma had a doctors appointment and I had to pick her up at her retirement community and chauffeur her around. On our way back after we ran all of her errands a rice boy pulled up on my passenger side and started messing with me. My grandma looks at me with those crazy *** cataract glasses and tells me that the car sounded like a weed whacker! I wish I would have taken the spare tire cover off so my bottle could have been in the pic!

while i agree that a cage can take away from the true street car theme, if you race more then a few times a year at any track that enforces safety and your faster then 11.49 you will be forced to install one. my local track left me alone when i was running 11.4 -11.0 in my daily driven civic, but once i broke 10.7 they put the hammer down and i had to install at least a 4 point they said and a harness. so before the track even opens this season i am putting a 4 point in the datsun since i know it will be in the 10s for sure.

Sounds like you need to come to my local track.

The tech in goes like this:

Track Official: You got a helmet?
You: Yeah its in the passenger seat?
Track official: Have fun now, ya hear.
You: Thank you sir.

First shake down pass 9.23@ 153mph No cage No firesuit No NHRA license

Track Official: DAMN! That car really runs son!
You: I know.
Track Official: Alright you be careful tonight.

Nice. Sounds like my track. They used to be strict but now they just want people to show up. It's amazing how a down economy changes things.

Luckily for me my Stranos make my car just a little too low to get out on her own. I started taking the car when she got out of my truck and started shuffling off on her own. She doesn't listen to anyone and she doesn't want to use her walker (even thought she really does need it) so driving my WS.6 is the way I keep her under control!
