gt47 lag on 403?

Default gt47 lag on 403?

how much lag will a gt47 with a .9 rear housing have on a 403ci stroker the cam is a 234 238 115 lsa im after 12 psi boost around what rpm will i get the full 12 psi and how low should i be getting any boost the car is manual.

you need to look at a compressor map...google is your friend....

12 or 13,000 what?

anyways. being a manual is obviously going to hurt you. going with low rear end gears like 3.23's should help load the car and spool the turbo faster but a 88mm on a 400+ci motor will not be bad at all there are mustang guys running 4788's on 347's and a local guy is running twin 4788's a a 40x ci sbf

I think he was joking it would spool around 12 or 13 thousand rpm...

lucky it revs to 20,000 then should give me a nive 7k powerband does anybody know roughley when it will start to make boost on a 403ci ?

ok just spoke to the bloke with the gt47 i might be buying and he said the front wheel is only 80mm

i wouldnt go any smaller than an 88 on a 403. call or email forced inductions. they will be able to help you out with turbo sizing for your needs.

what about a GT45 on a stock 6.0L that wont ever get built? will that make good power around 8-10psi?

the intake is 80mm not the outside of the wheel its a stret driven car so i was thinking a gt45 would be better what sort of rpm diffrence would there between a gt47 and 45 spooling up

A 403 and a GT47 is good on the intake side. The turbine side is a touch small. I would go with the new GT5018. Same turbo, just has the new 98mm turbine wheel from Garrett.
