modified the bracket as shown, used a long bolt through the center hole on the bracket and into the upper left most bolt on the cyl head with an adequate sized spacer to make the belt line up, and used a small homemade slide type tensioner attached to the mounting hole for the stock tensioner. had to take a little material off the alt on the backside of the mounting point where the slide tensioner attaches to make up for the thickness of the metal stock the tensioner is made out of.

disclaimer: i do not know if this will work with the stock fbody alt. long story short i broke down in a little town in NW florida on the was to party in panama city one night. I pulled the old one out on the side of the road and ran down the street to the napa, which was closed at the time. They didnt have an alt in stock so the guy was cool enough to just let me open boxes til i found one that had the same plug and mounting locations and this is the one i found. still going strong about 3 years later. i think its for a mid 90's chevy truck

There's a single smaller gauge...maybe a 16AWG or so...wire that needs to be extended. The power feed wire that comes from the battery needs to be shortened or fed in such a way to take up the extra slack.

I bought one from Wsss6 on here, ill post pics a little later. one thing i will say though is the bracket ive got uses the stock belt tensioner so i dont have to worry about the belt jumping ship at high rpms. I paid 120 dollars shipped to my front door and it works with the original alternator.
