INTMD8, Its a custom pulley set-up. Its a ATI keyed accs. pulley with a ASP bolted on 8.5 inch crank and 3.4 inch 8 rib blower pulley and idler. Maybe the belt was on to tight. Also you guys havn't installed the Gen 7 DFI and 83 # injectors yet?

My 2 cents... For a daily driver and ease of install and pocketbook...Id go ATI with 5-7 lbs boost. Makes it unique, fun and at that boost level, belt issues can usually be dealt with. If you dont mind some chop, shoot for a stage 2 H/C and be happy with 425-44 rwhp and mid to upper 11's in a great driving daily driver. In the end, if those times are good enough...decide if you want to be unique or not as cost can be similar (5-8k for either (assuming Cartek or similar quality H/C) with other traditional mods.

Here is a graph of my car with heads/cam. TEA stage 1.5, CC 222/224 563/568 112LSA cam, LS6 intake, grott headers, ORP, hooker exhaust and a 12 bolt w/3.90s. While its not one of the larger cam/head setups and the car has dynod higher but this one had the starting rpm close so it looks better.

I put the car back stock to sell it, couldnt get anything for it so I kept it and tossed an ATI P1SC on it. The ATI dyno is 100% stock engine with 6psi, MAC headers, no cats and stock SLP dual/dual. a/f was 11:1 so its still kinda rich.

The average HP is up pretty good 4000-6400 with the blower, I wont be able to compare ETs since I converted the car to an auto and took quite a bit of weight out. Downside is the blower adds ~60lbs to the front and there is some maintenance involved plus the initial cost is around 1500.00 more for the blower with gauges, injectors, fuel pump and all. But I dont have the wind the car to 6700rpm, have no fear of a failed valve spring and the car idles and drives like stock.

I think alot of people dont use the same rules when comparing H/C cars to FI cars, its hard to to compare a stripped out auto heads/cam car to a land yacht FI car with nittos on chrome Z06 wheels and a 6 speed. Plus the dyno numbers on some of these FI cars with large dynojet correction factors are a bit misleading and track results dont add up sometimes. I have gone all three different extremes over the years, turbo V6 buick, 706inch DRCE and big n2o small blocks and the most important thing with no matter what you use is the total combination of parts if ETs are your goal..

Some guys like the lope, some guys like the boost and some guys like to spray - do whatever YOU think will make a fun car..

I'd say go with an ATI setup. A conservitive 6-7lbs. will get you an easy 560rwhp, maybe more with your other mods. Mileage and driveability will be comperable to stock, untill you get on it.

Make both application work together and u will have a monster. Imagine a stroked 383CID with a F-1 Procharger or All Bore 382 CID with TT from Haltech or LPE.

I would say if you are only looking for about 450rwhp on that Z06. . go NA. Just get a good set of Heads/Cam package along with good headers and call it a day.

If you want to get greedy with power and go beyond 450 then I personally, if staying with the 5.7 LS6 Block. . go with a mild head/cam package and throw a ATI blower, 3 to 6lbs of boost and be done with.

I've seen a M6 2002 WS6 with stock internals with only hooker headers, and 6 to 8lbs of boost on ATI put down 509rwhp and about same on torque!

But it would be what ever your taste is in my opinion.

As for me personally I'll be going to blown route. I would probably put TEA's stage 1.5 or 2 heads and a mild cam, plus about 6psi of boost, LS6 intake and hooker headers and be finally complete with the mods on my TA

Good luck either way you go
