doesnt matter.

What does matter is if your engine makes 10bhp, or 1000bhp.

gearing wont make any difference to power at the engine.

How much power does the engine make ? How much traction do you have ? That's what DOES matter when trying to select gearing.

Also what is the car used for ?

There are many variables.

Low power = short gears.

Lots of power - tall gears.

The 4.1 you have might work well with DR's then. Certainly not worth changing it until you have tried.

if you find the lower gears are useless with a lack of traction, then you could opt for taller gears.

If you are using it for 1/4 mile racing, then you might want to change the gears to optimise 1st thru 4th gear for the track.

if its purely for a road car, you just have to try it and see

I'd go with373's for the street and 410's for strip use. My 410's were to low for the street even with good tires (305 nitto's ). 410's would go up in smoke 1st and 2nd with lots of suspention work. Qa1's at 1 in front and 6 in back helps but not a good ride on the street. Good luck, Steve

I had 4:10s in the car for a little bit until I switched to a 3:73. I like these alot better. I still dont have any traction through 3rd and some of 4th, but they work tons better at the track.

im coming from 4.30's with a 26" tire, ~5-600hp. i decided to get traction i need a 28" tire and for the best performance street/ some strip was a 3.90 gear, best i can tell it acts just like a 3.73 with a 26" tire with the added benefit of the taller tire. but im not sure if 3.90s are available with stock rears... i have a 12 bolt and if your making 600hp i hope you dont have a stock rear.

The problem with tall tyres....not everyone drives everywhere in a straight line.

I had 3.73's and then went down to a 3.50. Didn't realy notice a difference as far as street driving. 4.10 might be a a bit too much, but it realy depends on each setup.
