Default Started my Custom Frontmount Turbo...

Well the ole' STS setup got me down to a 10.4, but I've been getting tired of its low ground clearance and low flow ability with the stock piping. Decided this winter that I was going to move the turbo up to the front.

The turbo is still the TC76 that I used to run, but the turbine housing is going from a .81AR to a 1.15AR. The turbo is going on the passenger side, where the battery used to be. I'm using the stock drivers side manifold and building the passenger side manifold myself with my buddy. Crossover pipe goes behind the trans and up and is 2.5". Downpipe is 3" and is stainless to the firewall, then aluminum from there out the back. Wastegate will be dumped out the front.

Here's a couple pics of what we've done today. You can see where the turbo will sit and what we've got started with the manifold. We may have the manifold all tacked up tonight.

Should see quite a bit more power out of it this year with the new setup Going from the 2.5" crush bent exhaust and .81 of the STS setup to the full mandrel bent 3" and 1.15 ought to make a big difference. And it's fun

Also going to a big fuel pump and full return setup with giant injectors for E85.

Thanks to my bud Ninja for the fab help!

I've had a couple people PM me asking about that actually. We might consider it once we see how this performs. I don't know if I could charge enough to make it worth our time though. If we did produce them we'd have to get setup with LS1Tech of course, and the "kit" would consist of the manifold, crossover pipe, and downpipe to the firewall. Any idea what people would be willing to pay?

it doesnt have to be "worth your time" in money, it could simply be worth knowing that you helped a fellow lsx member and lover to get into the turbo scene. lol. I think that a materials @ 50% margin should be enough, lol.
