Default Jgs wg

I read some older threads, and people were saying that the springs that came with the waste gate were really weak. Like 2psi, 4, and 6psi.

Has anyone bought these gates recently, and if so what did the spings give you psi wise? (trying so see if this problem was taken care of) or do i just need to go ahead and buy another spring

They are weak springs but IIRC, you can double them up. Most racers want the waste gate spring to go down to as low as possible so that a controller with CO2 can be used to give you the widest range of control possible.

These are AWESOME wastegates. Biggest difference being that they don't use a diaphragm like the other premium gates. Instead they use a piston with orings.

If all i can get out of the largest spring is 6lbs ill just stay there and get a mbc a few weeks later, and prob run the lightest spring 2lbs on the street lol.

If i do double the springs does the length (having 2 springs instead of 1) effect when the wg will start to crack open...like when you shim it.

Also if i just get another wg spring are there any specific ones i need for this brand or just any spring made for, say, a tial or any other brand

Inner and outer. Not stacked. I'm not sure if the Tial springs will work. I use the lightest spring and run CO2 all the time. Then I can just turn it up at the track and down for the pump gas on the street. The lowest I can go, due to my gate placement is about 9 psi at the top even with the weakest spring. That tiny little bottle of CO2 was filled last in december. My controller is on and active all the time (no WOT switch). I dont even close the valve. **** lasts forever.

Is the gate placement that diff to cause some people to only get 2 psi on the light spring and you to get 9? If i get 9 ill just leave it there, im only wanting 7psi though.
