sts kit failure?

grab you a turbowerx exa pump, find a welder. get the pump hooked up straight up to the ignition switch so it comes on when the ignition is on, and just run it on full. screw the damn hobbs switch crap.

redo your PCV, put a breather everywhere you can, lol.

did you get the sts kit used or did you buy it new? if you bought it used, check the condition of the turbo & etc parts. my turbo when I got it was a POS.

well i found the power wire for the pump wasnt hooked up...going to try this again ....


see if it clears up or what

well i hooked it up, and the screamer under the hood was going off cause the pump isnt working... it will need rewired for sure...but who ever installed this ****....man...needs a kick in the teeth

yes...i had a relay go bad and had no voltage going to the pump...it will pump all your engine oil out the back if you dont stop as soon as you see the smoke...lol

This looks like a ball of *** put together to make maybe 400rwhp

The fuse like kbracing says to check, then check the valve on the turbo. Mine has spit out oil before and it was a $12 check valve. This is how the underside SHOULD look like:

See your friend was so ready to get rid of it when it was hooked up wrong. Hope there isn't anymore trouble after you fix it though

dont matter..he wants it off the car...the pump worked for about 2 minutes..pretty sure the hobbs switchs are not letting it runn correctly.

Serious modifications aren't for everyone. I don't know who did the install, but I would question the quality of work especially when they were unable to hook up a simple pump. All it is is a power wire, fuse, relay, pump, ground wire, then plumb a hose in and out. If they screwed that up, I would recheck everything. Did they run the return oil line up against a hot exhaust pipe?
