FMIC Build Help Needed
FMIC Build Help Needed I'm ditching the twin 3"ati intercoolers and going to a front mount for my 100% daily driver. I've searched the forums and have a good starting point as far as size and how to route the plumbing, but a few questions still remain.
I would consider a kit instead, but EPP doesn't make one anymore and I haven't heard of any others.
Which pipe is better steel or aluminum?
Where to mount temp/pressure sensor?
Blow-off valve or bypass valve? Which brand? What is quiet (street driven convertible)?
Anyone have problems with their intercooler cracking when mounted rigid to rails? I didn't notice any rubber bushings in the pictures posted and wonder if vibration or heat cycling fatigues it. I've got solid motor mounts so high frequency vibrations carry into the rails.
