Wastegate spring question???
Wastegate spring question??? I have a turbosmart wastegate and i want to get about 10 lbs of boost out of it, does anyone know where i can purchase them at and are wastegate and blowoff valve springs universal, do they interchange with any other manufacturer?
I cant speak for Turbosmart but most companies bov and w/g springs are different. Most are set-up for a certain diameter spring. Just for peace of mind I would buy the correct spring.
We have currently guy posting on board with turbosmart gate that is saying he needs like double the spring for some reason. No idea why but just saying. My tial gate springs are very accurate. Thought turbosmart would be too. Its a big name company and they make some very nice stuff.
Anyway yes you need to get springs that specific make and model of gate.

I think they come with a 7lb spring. There are a variety of spings for the turbosmart WG, inners & outers, so you can combine them to get the pressure you want. Check with some of the vendors that sell turbosmart to buy the springs
