LImit of un-touched 317s? Ive got a 370 with rods/pistons, and vaspeed cam and valvetrain! Twin precision 6765s with .68ars for quick spoolup! Wondering how much Hp stock 317s can handle? Dont see the point on spendin 3k on heads when i plan to build BIGGER after i get used to this setup! Thanks in advance
We have made 800++ to the tires on a few different vehicles using 317's with just a valve sprin upgrade.
I would reccomend a good set of valves at the least though at this point.

My car made 920 rwhp on a mustang dyno with a 408, bone stock 317 heads, stock valves, and upgraded springs.
The limit of the heads IMO will be the deck and the fact that a aftermarket head will seal with more horsepower.
