I know the 4l65 do not hold any power in a f-body, but for some reason they work in corvettes? Nobody sold me any lines and I havn't seen any unicorns lately.LOL I would not be going this route if I did not do my research first and have proof that there are other guys beating on there cars with the same tranny. There is one corvette guy on here,(arun@ champion motorsports blue Z06) he has a 4l65-70E and is making 900rwhp and has run 9.0's and beats the **** out of it, plus there is a few others on corvette forum that are making high 800rwhp-900rwhp and running low 9's as well. There are guys making the power and running the#'s without issues. This car is not a drag car and will most likely have 20 pass's a year at the track and this includes the LSX Shootout and the Holley track event. I have total confidence in this setup givin what the build is going to be used for!

they don't work on corvettes either.

I know a guy with an RPM stage 5321465436y3 that has blown up 5-6 times.

most of the guys that say the tranny lives are real close with or are employees of the shop that builds them.... so you never know how often they are refreshing them and they have a hidden agenda to sell transmissions.

plus if they drive them out of boost they last like a stock one of course but if you really drive it hard, they only last about a week at a time LOL

I'm with Tiago as well. Only time will tell......and how much you step on it of course. FWIW I have seen a couple local vettes (in the 600-800rwhp range) blow up like 5 FULLY BUILT 4L65s each.

Either way......SICK BUILD. Must have been hard to abandon the snail

This statement is hilarious!

I personally know two guys that are beating the crap out of their 4l65's (Arun being one of them as well as Shane with a TTIX LS3) while running deep into the 9's. They have had no issues what so ever with their RPM built trans.

Arun drives the **** out of his car and was driving hundreds of miles at a time on trips without a glitch. I don't think there is a "hidden agenda" when hearing about these transmissions lasting in a bottom 9 second car, just a well built trans with a good tuner knowing what the trans likes and doesn't.

We've done 3 C5s and a C6 with RPM Level 5 and 6 4L65Es and all of them have run mid 9s and had plenty of street miles on them to boot. Only once did we have a problem, but it was quickly rectified. You can't beat the dog crap out of anything at that power level, but these transmissions are legit.

I would have loved not to go with a 4l80 e we were the first to put on in a c6 Fran at rpm did mine it's the heat that kills the60s limit is 650 wheel any just talk to rodney at. The other rpm with a F2. You will be way beyond what it will handle but what do I know

I don't believe 650 is the limit. To many other guys making 8-900rwhp without issue. Heat is a big killer of any tranny. I have that covered.

idea crossed your mind of maybe doing a 6l80 or 6l90E?

the 90E holds up to the cts-v and would be nice as a driving car as well...
