Default high boost - custom cogs or 12 rib setup

It's been suggested a few times that I also consider going to a 12 rib setup since I have the room to run that as well.

Anyone have 12 rib links or experience? I'd like to see what they are good for.

I would go with a cog set up, why chance it and spend more money in the long run if the 12 ribs start to slip or eat belts? Especially on a high HP car like what you are aiming for. I know once I get the cog set up completed(spacer, dowels redrilled) I won't have to worry about slip again on the street or the track where it counts. My .02 What does Z8's(damn memory) have to say? If a shop is confident they can make a 12 rib work/fit go for it.

I would go cog if I could buy it and bolt it right on.

Z8's *ahem* the car went 8.96@154mph bucko!

He's a cog guy.

I have access to cog pulleys for the blower, I would just need the tensioner and the blower pulley.

I don't need it yet but the car will be getting redynoed soon.

Go for the Cog John. I know the price between the two are not that much. You want to run 20 psi right? You think that motor will take it?? Or the gaskets?? I only want to run 15-16 psi like frcefed. Let us know what ya decide.

I've hit 14 psi so far, and an shooting for at least 18, but 20 would be good.

I was just wondering what cars have 12 rib setups.
