Issues with my setup
Build Details:
2006 GTO
LS2 based 404 fully forged
Trickflow heads
Cam
All the other stuff that goes with a full build. If you can think of it, it has it.
Kenne Bell 2.8 Supercharger
Keep in mind that the car has never been "driven" yet as all the problems are showing up during the tuning stage.
1. This car has thrown three belts now and broke the tensioner once. In order to get the Kenne Bell on the car, we switched to a full 8 rib corvette acc. drive setup. We had to switch out the stock alt. for a F Body one and we had to machine the water pump pulley in order to line up the pulleys'.
The belt seems to be being thrown upon letting off the gas after revving up. From doing research it appears that that this issue might have something to do with the boost or vaccum actuator but I have run into a dead end when trying to find info about this. I have read that there are two different actuator's available from KB dependant on the the build specs. We have investigated this through KB and they do not agree with that statement.
2. Boost gage is reading 15 lbs of boost but dyno is not showing it at all. On the dyno, it is only making just north of 500rwhp, which is what the engine itself is capable of putting down. This one has me stumped completely.
Let me know if there is any other information I can provide that might assist in the diagnosis of these issues. I am fully aware that this is the internet and guess's are the best that can be given, but I can't figure this **** out so hopefully somebody has seen this type of issue in the past and may be able to provide some insight of where to start.
