oil drain on canton pan

Default oil drain on canton pan

On a canton oil pan could use the low oil light sensor hole as a return drain. just take a -12 90, face it almost verticle and your good to go?

Oil drains MUST enter the pan ABOVE the level of the oil.

the reason i ask is the -12 an will fill up to just the same oil level as the pan. my turbo is really high so it should drain fast. so whats the difference between it draing to the same level as the pan but in the huge fitting compared to a fitting thats a bit higher but wont let me put as steep of an angle on the drain line. from my understanding of science fluids will fill to the same level so its not gonna back fill completely, plus if its in the oil it shouldnt be as affected by crank case pressure.

Its up to you if you want to take the risk, but I do understand what you are saying, and its possible it would work.

i ll try, i aready have the fittings. not sure how i got em but i was going through my spare stuff and i have all these fittings. ill try it and worst case just move it. ill let ya guys know if it works, or doesnt

just fyi this has been working fine so far. should dyno it monday and we ll see how it does under full boost.

year later update. it works great 0 smoking, ive roadraced with 0 issues, drag raced no issues and dyno no issues
