I was having some voltage issues on the dyno today and when I unplugged my MSD 2-step unit I picked up 40rwhp. HOWEVER I am still having the voltage issue i think the small amount of resistance added from the msd just made it worse. Figured this might help someone. I will post more results once the voltage issue is fixed and I will plug/unplug it on the dyno again.

Good to know, thanks.
So it looks like this unit is just enabled by a switch? So me being an auto, I plug the unit in, put it on a 12v switch, and then put the enable switch on the brake pedal so that the 2 step is active when the switch is ON and when the brake is pressed? Then all I do is let off the brake and away I go? Sound about right?

Yeah. Mines hooked up to a botton on my steering wheel. I hold the button and as I let off the clutch and feel the wheels grab I let go of the button. It sounds a lot harder than it really is.

Just to drag this back to the top! I installed a MSD two step PN: 8733 and have experienced the same problems as the OP. I did not even plug in an activation wire yet and the car shakes and misfires really bad. My AFR's also shoot to 21-22 when this unit is plugged in. I am packing it up now to send back. I was planning to use this Wednesday night at the track, oh well maybe next week.

only reason I ask is I just recently unhooked mine and plugged into the ground signal by accident and the car wouldn't rev past 2000rpm(box is set at 4000rpm), switch the signal wire and all is swell.
