Default I had a question about a D1SC build.

I'm a total idiot when it comes to these boosted setups but I was THINKING about doing a stock cube procharged setup for my car in the future. I wanted to do a blower cam as well or see if there was a way to use a decent sized cam with a supercharger. So I would need help on that as well getting help on what kind of heads I'd need or should use (a buddy of mine in AZ is getting LQ4 heads for his D1SC'd LS1). I'm really a noob on this, could someone kinda explain what I should do for a stock cube D1 build on an LS1 to make around say 600-650 rwhp? (If possible)

For 600-650 rwhp I would go with good rods and pistons. You can keep the factory crank. Our blower cam and stock heads with good valvesprings and pushrods would get you in that range, if you're limited on funds. If you have the extra money I would go with a pair of AFR heads. Bob

You can make that kind of power with a P1sc. There are two guys locally around me with charged vettes that are making a little over 650 with the stock bottom end on a safe tune. One is using a Vortech T-trim and the other a P1sc Procharger.

Bob will point you in the right direction on any path you are wanting to take.

Here are the videos of the vettes before they were detuned a little:

What size injectors was the guy with the C5 Vette using and was he on an aftermarket fuel pump?
I read a sticky about how this forced induction stuff for an LS1 will run you 10k+. When I read that I figured I just might go with forged internals and nitrous.

Pretty sure the guy with the black C5 is using 60's with a Walbro 255 and boost-a-pump. Don't hold me to that for now.

If you buy everything new, you're looking at an easy 10K. I bought used blower setup and new fuel system parts. Got about 6K invested.

A 10k setup? LOL, I'd better be running 10's for that, depending on the power I make.

Depending on how you setup your suspension, tires, transmission, and a little seat time, its pretty common to run 9's if you're taking full advantage of the power level that can be achieved from a D1.

Hmmm well I'll do a little research, take some time to think about it.

Thank you for all of the input guys!
