Default went from 10.5#s to 14+ with sdce upgrade.

Went and tested the new bracket out last night. Hit 14-15ish#s in no time. Was previously at 10.5#s with my D1sc making 500rwhp through a stalled auto/12 bolt with the belt as tight as a guitar string.

Kept an eye on my wideband and it never came out of the 10s so hopefully i'll be safe. As safe as I can be at that power level on a bone stock motor

I'm sure its a ticking time bomb, but maybe i'll have some luck. Go hard right All supporting mods are in place and I feel pretty good about the tune. Anyone heard of someone surviving long at that much boost on a stock motor?

For those curious the car is on E85 with an alkycontrol kit on 7. Twin 340 pumps and 81# injectors. Should be good on the fuel.

SDCE rocks....they only need 1 more person for the GP to get a killer price.

In due time. Still waiting on a few things. Then i'd like to get to the dyno and the track.

Hoping to squeez a 10 sec. pass out of her.

Yea i'm pretty happy with it. It is overall a far superior design compared to the standard bracket. As tight as I had to have the belt before AND still have slip just seemed like alot of unnecassary tension/wear when there are options like this out there. Wish I had the extra cash to have this extra bracket done up for this gp price. I'm sure someone will jump on it.

Will it work on a 6 rib set-up? Where is the GP link?

You had that much slippage on a 8 rib? What size pulleys?

X2

You only added the SDCE spring and kept the pully sizes the same? I bouught my entire D1 kit from them with their uprades so I don't know any better But gaining 4-5 #'s of boost is prety crazy. Congrats

Well, there is no way to keep the same size crank pulley since the procharger 8 rib kit uses a 7.65" crank pulley, and the SDCE uses a 7.25", but what does matter is the ratio of the pulley setup.. I too would like to know the before and after crank and head unit size pulleys. This is pretty hard for me to believe...

I already had the sdce 7.25 8 rib crank pulley with the procharger 8 rib bracket. I purchased a sdce bracket from a member on here. (Hince the extra bracket I mentioned).

So yes pulleys were never changed. I have a 7.25 crank pulley and a 3.70 blower pulley. I started out with 8#s on the dyno, cranked on it some more and got 9 somethin, and again tightened it beyond obviously what I thought was necassary to begin with and finally got 10.5#s. The belt was TIGHT!

Other than the bracket the only thing I did was clean my filter which was fairly clean when it made the 10.5#s during the tuning app. Might be some of the gain.

If i'm ever that way id love to, but with Tulsa and Mokan both so close there is no need to travel farther than that. Especially with the caliber of a track that tulsa is.

Same as Kyle above, consistently saw boost in the 15-16psi range out of my D1-SC after the upgrade to the SDCE 8 rib set up.

Pulley set ups tried MMS 6 rib set up, failed, ASP COG set up, broke belts left and right, custom MMS, ATI pulley set ups, failed belts broke or slipped.

SDCE nothing but awesomeness and never broke a belt. Later sold the kit to KP here on the board and he used the same belt all the way into the 9's

http://www.sd-concepts.com

We offer a 6 rib tensioner upgrade and an 8 rib tensioner upgrade. The 8 rib is way more common. We need one more order for the 8 rib GP to lock everyone in to the $605 GP price...regular retail is $695 so it's a huge savings of $90.

Send me an email or give us a call if you have any other questions. 401.826.4400 or sdconcepts@yahoo.com
