I don't think the f1c will get you to 1000whp. Go with the f1r.

+1. The most I've seen with an F1c is low 900rwhp. Only a few have done it with an F1R. The problem is the amount of power needed to turn a blower to make 1Krwhp is more than the ribbed belts can handle in most cases and there is alot of belt slip in the upper rpms where theoretically you'd otherwise make the 1Krwhp. At the point you put enough tension to minimize slip, you start breaking you water pump and other accessories off since they were never designed to take that amount of tension. That's why I went F2 + cog drive=plenty of blower to go well above 1K and NO slip with the cog system.

At the old shop we made something like 964 rwhp with an F-1R with the ProCharger C5/C6 Corvette bracket and Cartec's "Flip Drive" 8 rib belt addition. I think we would of made more power with a milder engine build, than what the customer had us put together. The Flip Drive worked so well that we broke the belt on the dyno when we let off the gas after going wide open throttle. We had to loosen up the belt tension from what we normally adjusted the tension to. Bob

You could go with a gear drive off the crank. It eliminates the side load a belt driven system puts on the motor. A gear drive will also allow you to spin the blower past its rated potential allowing you to make more HP. Not too mention you can choose gear sets to acheive max blower speed at the RPM you desire. For example, Kurt Urban is building a 410" LSx hydraulic cam motor for me and we believe peak HP will be in the 7200rpm range and we are setting the blower up to spin max speed at 7200rpm. If you have any questions PM and I can get you in touch with Chris Alston Jr. at Alston Chassisworks. They are making gear drives and he is building 2 for me. Good luck.
