Default L92 Vic jr and elbow

So I posted a L92 thread months ago in the engine forums and never got any answer, so since this section related more to my set up, ill try here!

I am wanting to ditch the ugly truck manifold in favor of a vic jr ( still EFI ), but im wondering if it is going to hurt gas mileage much when cruisin down the freeway out of boost? No, im not really terribly concerned with mileage, but if im going to take a big hit it might sway my decision.

My other question about the manifold, I know I have the MAP sensor in the truck manifold, and some other parts and pieces on there, is it just a straight swap over to the Vic jr? are there provisions on it for MAP sensor and anything I need to run off of my truck manifold?

Why do you think the intake will effect gas mileage. It shouldn't, it really only flows air. The injector pluse width and size of the injector will effect mileage.
I' not sure if the manifold has provisions for the map senser. I think it should.
The Vic Jr should really make some top end power on the boost. The box on the side is the Edelbrock version of the MSD timing controller. You shouldn't need it, its for carbs and or piggy backing onto the stock electronics. I think. Can't see the pic.

I just wondered if the big single plane would hurt for some reason down low, wasnt too sure though. as for the box I refered to in the quote I posted from my other post, im refering to the one on the stock intake. I have a standalone for the motor and I know I dont need a ignition set up to go with the manifold, just not sure what that is piece on the stock manifold is; I havent even looked at the motor in 4 months sadly enough...

Oh ok thats the valve for the fuel vapors you should keep it. IMO
Yes those manifolds do give up some power in the lower ranges NA. You will be boosted so I don't see it hurting your car. Thinking more about gas mileage it might go down if it takes more fuel to get the car up to speed, but at crusing speeds it shouldn't. This should be a great build.

Ah, so emissions stuff! not too worried about it then. the truck has been a small block w/ carb for years, I dont mind putting up with a little fuel smell every now and then! It should be a blast once its done, S10, M6, 9" forged LS3 and a t-78! I get to start piling all the parts on in 3 weeks! I think im gonna go ahead and order a manifold and rails as well, thanks for the help!
