cog belt alignment
Maybe a silly question.
But seeing some systems, there appear to be no sidewalled pulleys in use. ( also includes vehicle timing belts )
So does the belt naturally stay put, or is it purely pulley alignment and sturdy bracketry that stops the belt from walking either direction ?

Mine has three pulleys (crank, blower & tensioner). The tensioner has the sidewalls. I can't believe you could run one without at least one pulley with a sidewall. If mine is even a hair out of alignment it will want to walk to the front or rear and start tearing up that edge of the belt.
