Default procharger on stack ls1

thinking odfdoing a procharger on a ls 1 (stock)How much boost can you get away with and how much hp can I expect.....

When i was stock @ 5.5psi i made 418rwhp on one dyno and 397rwhp on another.....

5.5 psi is barely getting the blower going on one of these engines. Why so little boost? Bob

I don't think it's worth spending the 4000 on this kit and get as much horsepower as having a cam and heads.

To get an extra 140 rwhp with an N/A car is going to require a very large camshaft. At the old shop we have a Corvette with a D-1SC at 740 rwhp and it still got 28 mpg. The customer took it on a vacation with his daughter from Chicago to the East Coast and back, and said it drove great. After several hard seasons on a road course, we rebuilt the engine and put a larger ProCharger on it.
