Default coolant temp and catch can question

At around 13 to 16 lbs boost, how much oil are your catch cans catching? after 3 or 4 runs?

Also, what are your temps at the end of a 1/4 mile pass. Mine goes from 170/180 to 210. I am running E85 and around 14 lbs of boost.

Thanks.

It varies on how the pcv is ran and how tight or loose the motor is . There are a ton ways of looking at it. On the other issue how is the car set up as far as cooling.

Every few months I empty my catch can and it will have 5-6 drops of oil floating in about 4-5 ounces of water. Mine is just attached to the valve covers. Everything else is blocked off. If you have lots of oil then you need to re-evaluate the configuration or you have excessive blowby due to a problem. real common cause is a broken ringland.

I have a #10 off of the valley cover and a # 8 on the pass valve cover. I seem to get a few ounces of oil per run. most seems to be fom the valley cover line. At idle there is no visable blow by from the can unless I rev it. Even at that it is just a litle steam. Seems a litl wose since I started running e85. The engine has less than 100 miles on it and has not seen more then 14lbs boost, so I may be just prematurly jumpy.
