I run a Rossler 400. I've never had a problem.

While a 91 is capable of running 7's in a racecar that has a maximized combination-i don't see it happening in a 3500 lb street car.The margin for error is too small. While i agree that most people over turbo engines-it is much easier for a novice to err to the larger side.

I must vigorously concur. Are there any size limits in that true street class? Unless you're limited to 91mm, you should go bigger to go 7's for sure. Trust me that having the power to run a 7 is not enough to run a 7. You dont want to be on the edge powerwise while trying to work out your other issues. The power is the easy part.

Shawn, what do you turbo do you suggest?

There is no limit to turbo size, my worry is not being able to spool it off the line with a 106. That's why is was thinking of going twins, although I would rather have a single.

If you want something that will spool well and make 1300+rwhp simply go with a GT-98 from Garrett. We have customer's easily running 4.8's@150+ with them. The GT55 turbine (which the pro-mod also uses) are a touch on the small side from the backpressure #'s we are getting on customer setups if you plan to go hard on the turbo.

Is the GT-98 the thumper unit?

Pro Mod 94-will easily get you there.if the engine is built right and the proper converter is used-you will have no issues.Spool easy and no backpressure problems

Yes...but the Garrett versions are basically the same size as the GT55's. You will have much less backpressure with the F-trim based unit, over a GT55/Pro-mod.

converter is determined by alot of factors-engine size,cylinder head size,compression,camshaft,turbo size,gear ratio,car weight,tire size.

gear ratio is dictated by engine rpm and tire size.
