do i need to pin my crank pully?

I just ordered a tvs2300 kit for an 04 gto, thats going on a 2000 camaro ls1 in my 67 camaro. Will i need to pin the crank pully? Does anyone know if its part of the kit? probibly going to be running about 8lbs..(stock longblock)

From what I've read you are better to pin it than to have it spin and cost you a crank

Definately pin the crank. A crank pinning kit should be included with the kit.

yes. Our cranks are not keyed out to the balancer, so you have it being held in place by the high torque of the damper bolt. I bought my fixture, keys and drill bit second hand here. Check the classifieds

yea, looking at the kit and description, it made no mention of it, nor in the online installation manual i found (although it was for the 112 maggie on a 04 gto not the tvs) so i was wondering if it was included and needed, although if its not included i will pin it anyway.
