Default intercooler upgrade?

Would it be worth to change my procharger brand intercooler for an ebay unit? My current IC is 24x6x3.5 vertical flow, i was told by my tuner that the IC was creating a restriction and i needed a bigger one. The ebay one would be 24x12x4 horizontal flow. I know my current IC has a higher quality core but the ebay one has double the surface area and more than double the volume and hopefully less pressure drop.

The ebay ones work ok for a street car. If you want to eek out every last ounce of power and not have a high temp rise during a 1/4 mile pass, it seems the Garrett 24x12x4.5 core is the way to go. You are going to spend about $800 for one. Shearer carries them. I'm going with the Ebay CX Racing 31x12x4 myself. If I don't like what the temps do I'll bite the bullet and get Shearer to build me one.

I didn't have problems with the CX racing Ebay intercoolers on my '99 Z28 at the track. The inlet temps stayed pretty cool. Bob
