im in the proccess of a forged build for boost im at the beginning stage and trying to get some input. the block is at the machine shop getting bored .030 and im trying to decide to go with a forged 355 or 383 and also to do turbo or procharge it. if i do turbo i want a rear mount and if i do a procharger i want to be able to produce a good amount of boost. thoughts please

If the machine shop is going to bore the block without first having the pistons, drag your block out of there before they do anything to it and never go back there! You might as well go 383 since you're replacing the crankshaft, and the ProCharger LT1 12 rib system will give you far fewer problems than an rear mount turbo will. Check out this link and give me a call for a great price. http://shop.brutespeed.com/93-97-F-B...GA212-D1SC.htm Bob

Well that's the plan with the shop, first they are cleaning it up and testing it then we are going to sit down and go over the parts then he will bore it over. The kit looks good I'll let you know.

I thought i would share these pics with you guys. thanks to your answers and 4K i came up with this 383. Still not sure if im doing a turbo or F1 Procharger, aiming at the Procharger and wanting to do around 18 lbs. its all forged and build for boost with my LE2 heads.

We did a custom front mount on an LT1 Camaro back at the old shop, in which we used an F-1A. The shop is closed but the website is still up. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=61 Bob
