Default F1D? any info? dyno sheets? experiences?

ok guys, i am hunting info on the elusive new F1D procharger. i have found i little bit of info on mustang forums and one thread here on ls1tech (https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...rger-f-1d.html).
looking for any info, specs, dyno sheets, or experiences with the new F1D procharger. also, wondering if it is as loud as the F1A head unit? from what i hear, it can come into full boost around 2500rpm... but this might just be an internet myth... hard to say because procharger won't release an info on their own dang product!

Last time I was on the phone with Procharger (over a year ago) I asked them about the new F1D. They told me:

Capable of over 800rwhp. It's categorized between a F1 an F1a. 5.4:1 step-up ratio. Intended for more low and mid-range power. No reverse rotation available at the time. As far as the rumors of it being quiet, Procharger says it's as loud as the F1A.

Never seen one in person myself.

I believe its a D1SC impeller in a F-Series Case. Same impeller, same compressor housing as the D1SC. The advantage is that you get the F-Series step-up ratio. It would basically have the same map as a
D1SC (if you could ever get ahold of one!). Try to contact www.houseofboost.com to see if they have any info.

New ProCharger F-1D supercharger

Show for the first time at SEMA, the new F-1D self-contained supercharger model was also on display for the power-hungry racers. Designed as more streetable F-Series supercharger, the F-1D provides better boost response in high horsepower street applications than the more competition oriented F-1C and F-1R models.

Rated at 1,000 hp, the F-1D utilizes a 9-inch volute, self-contained F-Series transmission, 5.40:1 step-up ratio and provides 1,500 CFM of airflow at 38 PSI max and a maximum impeller speed of 65,000 RPM.

Here is some info on it, and the F-1D is the same price as the F-1 and F-1A. Bob

so in other words the F1-D is a smaller version of the F1-A?
Closing the gap between the D1SC and the F1-A.

Yes, I would place it between the two. Below is a dyno graph from the old shop in which we used an F-1A. Take a look at how much torque this LS2/402 got at just 2500 rpm. Unless the engine was to be used in a truck, I just don't see where anymore low end power is going to be needed. Bob

My buddy has one on his stroker Mach1. I think it put down around 640 rwhp at 13 or so PSI (pump gas and I might be off on the boost). I'll try to get a dyno sheet and post it up. He's still sorting through minor issues, but I'll let you know how it feels after I get a ride in it!

House of Boost used an F1D on a GTO that made pretty good numbers.

No it can't. The F-1D uses the F series case. Bob

I love it. Great TQ.

Engine mods:
Forged 346ci with eagle rods and JE pistons, stock crank.
LQ9 ported heads (yielding CR of 9.5)
Cam 226/232, 115 LSA, 575/575
63lbs injectors
LS6 intake
ECS dual nozzle meth
8 rib
4.10 pulley

I'm not sure which is louder.

Interesting tidbit: I believe this was the first F1D ever made. When it was installed in Fall 2009, it was considered to be a one-off prototype.

Thanks for the reply ta2d. That's pretty cool being the first one to try out a new prototype before anybody else! It might as well still be a prototype with as mysterious as it is. You are one of only 2 people I have found that have ever even seen an f1d in real life. This thing is like bigfoot or the locness monster ha ha. I also forgot to ask you how much boost you are running and if you have any idle videos of the car so I can hear how loud it is. I really love the blower whine and I hope it is as loud as the f1a. Thanks

The f1a is rediculously loud..I don't see someone being able to tell the difference between the two given the same car same engine only difference being the f1d instead of the f1a..maybe John force could tell you with 100% certainty that the car has an f1d just by seat of pants..

Running 15 lbs of boost. No videos yet, but as soon as I upgrade my old POS camcorder to a new HD camcorder, I'll get some footage.
