how much power will nos pick up on blower

how much power will nos pick up on blower i was wondering,actually thinking about putting a small shot of gas on my blower car,i have been told that it will almost double the amount to the wheels,is this true,i have 96 lt1 intercooled procharger 10lbs,fully forgrd bottom end with ported heads,intake and cam,and all your basic bolt ons,the amount i would like to spray is a 50 shot, will it only pick up 50 hp,has any one ever done this,please give opinions on yeah or neah,thanks alot,mike
I just added a small dry shot to my car. I used two 0.22 jets on a NOS 5177 kit which is about a 35-45 hp shot and got a little over 100rwhp from it. There are a couple of downsides to it though:
1) For safety on nitrous we pulled timing and richened the A/F which lowered the non-nitrous power, After the nitrous tune rwhp dropped from 540's to 514 without nitrous but made 622 rwhp with nitrous. This isn't a big deal for me because I don't race on the street and will always bring a bottle to the track now.
2) It shifts you into the double power adder class at most races so unless you're going for a maximum effort car you won't be competitive.
3) Continuing expense of bottle refills (shouldn't be too bad with a small shot).
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I went this way but these are just some things to think about. Have you thought about water/alcohol injection?
